Silk Road

Written By: John Goyette on March 8, 2010 2 Comments

Ran 8.8 miles Saturday – a nice long run although I want to run the full race distance at least once before race day on April 25. I thought the next hill I would tackle would be Bank St. but wound up running out Rte 67A toward N. Bennington on Sat. When I made the turn about half way down Water St. I decided to take Silk Road on the way home. Silk Road starts with a wonderful old covered bridge crossing the Walloomsac River. It was surprising to find the closely cut solid oak floor boards of the old bridge harder under my feet than the blacktop. The total elevation rise was close to 300′ – still not enough to match the La Jolla hill. The good news is that I was able to run it without stopping.

WordPress offers many basic designs you can use to design a blog. They are called Themes. Mine is based on a theme called “Simple Indy”. You then personalize and modify it to suit your taste.
