Not rejected!
Wonderful prayer meeting Saturday night. We sought the Lord for healing for a number of people. After laying prostrate in His presence for some time I was mightily encouraged by some saints who came to pray over me. I was refreshed as they laid hands on me. The Lord then began to minister to several people through the gifts. One dear sister gave me a word from Isaiah 40. Versed 9 says, “[I (the Lord)] said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you.’” Little did she know how meaningful this was to me and how I had recently asked the Lord for just such a confirmation. It may seem strange but preachers wrestle with issues of acceptance too. Feelings of inadequacy, and struggles with sin can make us feel condemned. I thank God for His steadfast love and His mercies which are new every morning! He does not reject us but continues to long for our success. He grieves over our failures and rejoices over our successes!
