Walking a mile in my shoes
Yesterday the hip finally felt good enough (read, “not as painful”) to go out for a walk. I slipped my feet into my running shoes and I stroll-limped down to Jensen’s Restaurant to get coffee and a muffin – no running yet. I sat near the woodstove which radiated a penetrating heat and basked in the warmth and sense of accomplishment. After a while I headed out thinking I would walk to the bank and then the office but a steady rain had started and the hip was feeling a little twingy so headed home. All in all a little over a mile – not great but a start. The good thing is the hip feels better this morning so I’m definitely on the mend. Thank you Jesus!
