Resting, healing, running

Written By: John Goyette on June 23, 2010 No Comment

It used to be that I ran two or three days in a row. Now I run – the next day I must rest. It’s part of the healing process after an injury. It turns out that even in normal usage when you use a muscle it damages it. Tiny tears are caused. A time of rest is needed for the muscle to repair itself.

“They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
